The worst interview ever

Well it is most definitely official, I had the worst interview of my life. The interviewer seemed unprepared and she spoke in a very choppy and unclear manner. She threw me way off of my comfort zone. She made it sound like my education wasn't very important and experience was key. She asked me if I knew how to read brokerage statements. I asked her what specifically I would be doing with them. She wasn't sure. I said that know all about mutual funds and I run and read reports here all the time. I am used to reading the horrible OMNI system and Power image system, so I should have not problem reading a brokerage statement. I have never seen a brokerage statement. There are two people that get to see the statements. The people that make them and the person that the report is for and maybe the garbage man when it gets thrown away. They don't send over the report for Ralph to check out in the completely unrelated department. I told her that I am an expert at excel. Which is true. I told her that I can use my experience here and at school to do whatever they need done. The interview was like 12 min long. I wanted off the phone in 2 minutes. It was so unnerving. I have got to hone my BSing skills.

Brian said he would send me an email when we could hang out. It'll be really good to see him again. I miss my old friends. Its so busy being a dad.

I am taking the dog to its training session on saturday and I am taking another exam. On sunday I have to do nothin much I think. I am sure that I will be doing some chore.

Ralph And THe New Haircut, Pumpin' Up the Old Ego!

I got a new haircut and put in the old contacts. Now people want to talk to me. I am so interesting now. It must have been because I looked like the jaundiced fifth Beatle there for a while. Well not anymore! I am stylin'! 2 months from now, back to beatle boy! Maybe a gnarly goatee too. I have job interview for the sr. business analyst position here at work. Fiddy G's! or Fifty Gs. They usually don't bother calling you unless they have you in mind for the job. That job will hopefully be more fun. Well, back to throwing coal into the furnace. I am a cog in a big wheel. Repeat. ad nauseum. I am a worker bee destined to die of exhaustion. Repeat. ad nauseum.

Lovin' life and eatin' chikin!

We had chicken from bojangles yesterday. That was really good. We played the Bible trivial pursuit game. The questions were so obscure. My Bible knowledge was greatly challenged. 2 out of 8 questions right! I consider that a passing score! School is still going well. One problem though, I asked a question online to the teacher and it has been almost a week and he has not answered it. I think he maybe ignoring me. Paranoid schyzo. I visited Brian Gryders website and I still think he is funny. Everybody else just thinks he's a jerk, but I think its funny. Maybe he's a funny jerk, but so am I, so maybe thats why I think he's so funny.

I guess we will be fasting from the TV and other electronical gadgets for 40 days pretty soon. By fasting I mean giving it up, not that we used to eat TVs and now we are stopping. It will be hard not catching House and thats it, thats all I watch on TV. I guess I'll miss watching movies. I maybe watch a movie a week. I am such a couch potato. I'll also sit through American Idol. Yes I am one of the 1.6 million viewers that watch the show. : ( I just like Simon. He is such a jack ass. He makes the show worth watching.

I got three new CDs. I wanted the Tom Waits CD orphans but I couldn't find it used and 30 bucks was too much. I got Good monsters by Jars of Clay, Building Rise by 429, and a Tom Petty CD. Olga and I got our hair done at the mall and then shopped for CDs. We also ate at steak and shake. We had the steak and the shake. Duh ha ha. That was on Saturday.

Oh well blogging was great fun but I have to go before IT catches me having fun and throughs me into the eternal flames of unemployment hell.

Fun Fun, all day long everday, Forever....

I finished up my front yard fence with a really great redneck country gate. It sucks really bad. Its really flimsy. Everything else looks pretty good. The super bowl was alot of fun. I really liked the commercial where the pigeons were killing people and the one where all of the animals were screaming oh and the one where the guy was going to run over richard simmons. : ) We went to a Methodist church on sunday for boy scout sunday for JD. It was truly strange. Everything was scripted. We got an agenda and then we had to follow it all the way to the end. I can see why church turns people of so bad. The methodists are boring and regimented, the baptists are angry biggots, and the Pentecostals believe that women must where skirts, babble unintelligibly, and excersize God like powers. Hmmm... Which should I choose. ack! Organized christianity is sick and getting sicker. I think that it is better to strike it out on your own and stick to the principles that the Bible lays out and stay away from crazy folks from the local primitve united family freewill blessed friends baptist methodist penecostal church. Jesus is great. Its all those people that mess it all up. I still haven't started a band or joined one. I can't seem to find anybody. So I'll wait for the right time. All of the kids are doing well. Isabella is crawling, Claudia is drawing on furniture, Go Cheap Salvation army furniture, JD is a brave cub scout, another boy got indignant with my wife and JD said that he was going to break the kids nose if ever did that again, Go child on child violence to protect their mother! Angel is dating a boy, and we think they'll get married. She's only 16 but they are ridiculous together. You know that when someone is that cutesy wootsy with someone then there is only one thing to do, get married. Yiiiickkk!! I was late to work today and I had to make up the time. I hate that. The boss said that the bonus is the lowest that she has ever seen. The company said that this was one of our best years ever. So it is a no brainer to reduce the bonus?

I am terrible about updating my blog!

Christmas was good. I got an Archos PVP. It is very nice but I am having a hard time converting DVDs to Divx. Everything went well for christmas and new years. I made an A in my class. I now have a 3.75 GPA. Pretty sweet. I'll get a fine career with numbers like that. After this semester, I'll be able to sit for the CPA exam, then it is on to incredible dull accounting work. Dull to everyone except me. I found out that the IRS pays peanuts. For new people the starting pay is 34,000. That is a huge pay loss. I doubt that it would be worth it. This taxation class that I am taking now looks like it will be very hard. 4 tests, 7 papers, and two projects in 8 weeks! intense study.

Work is great! Pain is Good! and Lack of Brain Oxygen

A lady at work told me that I should just say how great I am even if I feel like crap. WEEEE!! I feel great. So I say that any time I see her, and then I ask smile like a mania and ask her if she believes me. She always says no. I stopped abusing caffiene. I was up to about 70 ounces of caffienated sodas per day. I feel like a dope addict coming down off of this stuff. My head is killing me, but I feel better. Cleaner. Heh. I am also on a rice only fast. I have been eating too much junk for the last 30 years, so I have to try to reverse the effects of a riotous life of living. I have started eating discusting fruit and vegetables. I hate it but I'll feel better I know it.

I still have a 92.6 average in my managemnt course. Its been going down slowly the last few weeks, but I think I can hold on. 8 week courses are pretty intense. I feel like I am in a Japanese Cram school. Okay class read 10 chapters this week and complete two papers on business policies. GO!!!

Everything is good with my kids. They are all a little irratating but not that bad. I can't see how my wife can stand it. I guess its like really cold water and violence you just get used to it. I come home and I am like leave me alone for goodness sake.

I found a Zune for 84 dollars. I am a cheap you know what. I could get an Ipod, but dang 200 dollars. Christmas is coming, I bought myself alot of nice things, and I bought alot of things for the kids for myself. And my wife got some of my presents too. Its good to be the king.

I thought really hard about getting a new stand and a splash and crash for my drum set but I decided not too. I don't play very well, and I thought Olga would kill me. I found them really cheap on Amazon.

I got to witness Tory, Bob's son, having a fit. It was horrendous. I have never seen a more ridiculous site in my life. The kid did not want to clean the living room so he decided to say he wasn't going to do it. Then of course you can't just say okay, you go do it or else. I love it when my kids say else. Then I get creative. Olga and I dragged this kid around the living room kicking and screaming picking things up for him like a puppet. He just runs his mouth to a point where you want to hit him to get him to shut up. I feel kindof bad for him. He does not seem to realize what he is doing when he gets going. But you can't let a kid just get away with disobeying. You will have a monster on your hands. Keri and Bob came to get him and they handled it very well. I don't know how I would have handled it exactly. He is so disrespectful. He wasn't saying anything bad about me but he was calling Olga crazy and Lazy. He didn't curse which I was surprised. If there was ever a case of demon possession, I think that this kid has one.

Coma TIME!!!

It is about time to pass out any day now. We are staying up way too late every night. We finally got the kids rooms cleaned up after cleaning the carpets and replacing some carpets. I made a platform for the washer and dryer, due to the crappy sloping floors. My wife said that I have become quite a carpenter. I was elated! Everytime I see that 5 by 6 platform I marvel that I was actually able to pull that one off. I am still waiting for the stupid thing to fall throught the floor. Our dog ladybug went out to use the bathroom and she never came back. In 4 years she has never left the yard, but she is just gone. She was old and she had stopped eating. I think she walked into the woods and hid and then died. I went into the woods twice but I could not find her either time. I guess we need another dog. I am almost finished with the front yard fence so a new dog should be alright. Oh well I am done.
